World Athletics Championships Live Updates: Reigning Tokyo Olympics champion and star Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will be aiming for his maiden World Athletics Championships gold medal in the final at Budapest, Hungary. India’s DP Manu and Kishore Jena will also be competing in the main event that will begin on 11:45 pm. Meanwhile, Indian men’s team will be competing in 4×400 m relay final. United States of America’s 4x400m relay runner Justin Robinson has admitted that he was spooked by India’s performace in the heats of the World Athletics Championships 2023.
“I was thinking I’ll conserve some energy for the final. But then I could feel something coming up behind me. I didn’t know it was an Indian. But I knew this wasn’t ok. I was like, ‘This isn’t right!’ So, I had to turn it up,” said Robinson as quoted by Sportstar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated athletes Muhammed Anas, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal and Rajesh Ramesh for qualifying for the final of the men’s 4X400 m relay team event at the ongoing World Athletics Championships.
Indian men’s 4x400m relay team qualified for the final with a new Asian record at the ongoing World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest, Hungary. “Incredible teamwork at the World Athletics Championships! Anas, Amoj, Rajesh Ramesh and Muhammed Ajmal sprinted into the finals, setting a new Asian Record in the M 4X400m Relay. This will be remembered as a triumphant comeback, truly historical for Indian athletics,” tweeted PM Modi.
