New Delhi:
Delhi Police busted a liquor smuggling gang and recovered 626 bottles of illicit liquor from Delhi’s Sanjay Gandhi Trasport (SGT) Nagar, knowledgeable police on Wednesday.
The gang was allegedly impressed by South Indian film ‘Pushpa’, knowledgeable the Police.
In line with the police, two rickshaw pullers introduced a number of plastic drums to a transport firm in SGT Nagar and produced two faux payments on the behalf of a buying and selling firm for transporting the drums to an enterprise firm in Bihar. On suspicion, when requested for particulars, the rickshaw pullers refused to reveal the data and fled the location with the rickshaws.
Later, the supervisor knowledgeable the transport firm in regards to the act. The corporate’s proprietor Sunny Kumar knowledgeable the police at Samaypur Badli police station in Delhi.
After receiving the data, the police rushed to the spot and started investigating the drums. After this, they recovered the illicit liquor manufactured in Haryana.
Police have filed a grievance and authorized motion is being taken into the matter.
