Pre-Finances Halwa Ceremony To Be Held Tomorrow

The standard ‘Halwa ceremony’ to be held on Thursday in presence of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to mark the start of compilation of funds paperwork.

“The Halwa ceremony, marking the ultimate stage of the Finances preparation course of for Union Finances 2023-24, will likely be held tomorrow within the presence of Union Finance & Company Affairs Minister Smt. @nsitharaman, within the Finances Press located inside North Block,” the finance ministry stated in a collection of tweets.

This time the Halwa ceremony coincides with the Republic Day.

Just like the earlier two Union Budgets, Union Finances 2023-24 will even be delivered in paperless kind, it stated.

Earlier, this ceremony used to kick-start the printing train for the Finances. Nevertheless, Finances 2021-22 was delivered in paperless kind for the primary time. This was the primary time since impartial India’s first Finances on November 26, 1947 that the paperwork weren’t bodily printed.

The Union Finances 2023-24 is to be offered on February 1, 2023.

The Finances paperwork will likely be out there on the ‘Union Finances Cellular App’ on each the Android and Apple OS platforms after the completion of the Finances speech by the finance minister in Parliament on February 1, 2023, it stated.
