A month earlier than the February 27 meeting elections, the lone Nationalist Congress Celebration (NCP) legislator in Meghalaya give up the Meeting and the social gathering on Monday and joined the opposition Congress.
To this point, 19 Meghalaya MLAs have resigned from the meeting and their respective events and joined others in round two months.
MLA Saleng Sangma, who give up the NCP and joined the Congress, was elected to the Meghalaya legislative meeting in 2018 from the Gambegre constituency within the West Garo Hills district.
Saleng Sangma stated he joined the Congress as a result of it’s a greater platform and never for the vote financial institution.
“Final time I used to be completely giving up, it was a thriller that I got here again as an MLA… I’m not scared. I’m becoming a member of Congress – you all know that it is a greater platform now than the NCP. I used to be only one MLA and I used to be speaking about NCP and making their presence felt from time to time,” the previous NCP president stated.
“It’s not in regards to the vote financial institution. It is about me, myself and my individuals,” Saleng Sangma added.
“With the Congress a minimum of we will work collectively and the target of becoming a member of Congress was for the individuals,” he stated.
