Manipur police on Wednesday picked up an editor of an area Manipuri vernacular day by day from his residence for his assertion in a panel dialogue on an area TV channel for ‘questioning’.
Hemanta Kumar Ningomba, the editor of Sanaleibak, was later launched by the police after maintaining him below detention for a couple of hours, sources added.
The All Manipur Working Journalists Union and Editors’ Guild, Manipur condemned police motion in a joint assertion.
