A inter-state drug-peddler was taken into custody in Hyderabad on Monday for allegedly peddling ganja-laced sweets and 31 kg of the narcotic seized from him, police mentioned. The accused hails from Bihar, the police mentioned.

Performing on data, a crew apprehended him whereas he was reportedly promoting the sweets, mentioned a launch from the Hyderabad police.

The accused, aged 41, introduced the laced sweets from Bihar and was promoting them for Rs 20- Rs 50 every, the police mentioned. The seized gadgets weighed 31 kg.

The person has been residing right here since 2015, visiting Bihar to buy the spiked confectionery each two months and promoting the gadgets in Hyderabad metropolis, the police mentioned.
