The Border Safety Power (BSF) apprehended a person with eight gold biscuits on Sunday in North 24 Parganas in West Bengal, stated a press launch on Monday.
The accused had been recognized as Bablu Molla, added the press launch.
“……troops of Border Out Put up Tarali, 112 Battalion below South Bengal Frontier, apprehended a smuggler with eight gold biscuits whereas coming back from his farm on a bicycle,” stated a press release.
The burden of the seized gold biscuits is 933 grams and the estimated worth of the gold is Rs 54,60,662, as per the assertion.
On Saturday, in district Malda, troops of Border Out Put up Kathakali, 115 Battalion had seized gold price greater than Rs 26 lakh from their space of duty.
The apprehended smuggler and the seized gold had been handed over to the Customs workplace, Tentulia for additional authorized motion.
