Three folks have been arrested for allegedly duping MBBS aspirants of crores of rupees on the pretext of serving to them get admission in authorities medical schools, police officers mentioned right here Monday.
The accused had opened a consultancy agency named ‘Profession Junction’ in Noida and duped a number of aspirants of crores of rupees by falsely assuring them admission, a senior official mentioned.
The accused have been arrested by a workforce of officers from the Sector 63 police station, Further Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Vishal Pandey mentioned.
“The accused had opened an workplace posing as consultancy agency. They focused candidates who had taken NEET examination however missed getting admission into programs by small margin. They assured candidates of admission into reputed medical schools and even gave them pretend seat allotment letters,” Mr Pandey mentioned.
“The gang charged round Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh from a candidate for serving to them with admission. The costs relied on the monetary situation of the candidate. However gullible aspirants realised the fraud solely as soon as they reached the school for training,” the officer instructed reporters.
The arrested accused have been recognized as Neeraj Kumar Singh, Abhishek Anand and Mohammad Zubair, police mentioned, including Rs 19 lakh money and a few gold and silver jewelry have been recovered from the possession of the trio.
Further DCP Pandey mentioned an FIR has been lodged towards the accused at Sector 63 police station whereas particulars about their legal antecedents are additionally being verified.
